STOP CRUSHING YOUR FEET

Most skate shoes are too narrow deforming your feet and toes. Waveglide gives your toes room to spread, while keeping the durability, impact protection and board feel you need.

PERSON BEHIND THE PROJECT

Hey, I’m Rapolas Kalvelis, a designer and skateboarder from Lithuania.

I started Waveglide because I couldn’t find skate shoes that actually fit my feet. Most were too narrow, while barefoot shoes weren’t built to handle skating.

Waveglide combines a foot-shaped fit with the durability, protection, and board feel skaters need.

Need help? FAQ

Common questions about the shoes, launch, and crowdfunding.

Yes. Waveglide shoes are designed for skating, but they can also be worn as everyday shoes. The goal is to make them durable enough for skating and comfortable enough for regular use.

Not exactly. Waveglide uses some barefoot shoe principles, like a foot-shaped toe box and zero drop, but they are not thin minimalist shoes. They have more sole thickness, protection, and reinforcement for skateboarding.

The first launch will most likely focus on a few simple colorways: black, black/white, white, and black/sand. Keeping the first drop small helps make production more realistic. More colors can come later if there is enough demand.

Waveglide is aiming for a crowdfunding launch in autumn 2026. The exact date depends on final testing and production. Join the waitlist for early access.

Crowdfunding means the shoes will be available to pre-order before full production. If the campaign reaches its funding goal, the first batch can be produced and backers will receive their shoes when production is finished. If the campaign does not reach its goal, backers will get their money back.
